Digital Ministry says Russia achieves digital sovereignty
YAKUTSK, Nov 25 (PRIME) -- Russia has achieved digital sovereignty as almost all foreign IT companies have left its market, and the country has a chance to develop the IT industry actively, Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev said at a forum on Friday.
“Speaking about digital sovereignty, we can say that we have already achieved it, because almost all foreign companies have left the market and now we are on our own,” he said.
“Our industry, despite all the events, has all the necessary opportunities to develop actively.”
The recent outflow of IT specialists from Russia "is not so heavy" as before, and it did not hurt the industry much, Shadayev said.
